Cup replacing:

FORCE HEAD 1" CUP SEALS:

It is not necessary to remove the system.  Loosen the chain, springs and eye nut and take force head pipe out. Pull the stroke upwards and fasten using a vice grip.  Unscrew the shaft from the force head.  Replace the new 1" leather cups and flare open.  Ensure that the 1" leather cups face downwards and the bushes fit inside.
When fastening,  lock against the crimp – press the bushes and the 1" leather cups down and fasten the nuts at the top.  1" leather cups must be able to be turned by hand once the nuts are fastened. Replace the pipe and eye-nut and reset the stroke.

CYLINDER CUP SEALS:

Remove the system from the borehole.  Loosen the top end cap of the cylinder and remove the shaft.  Remember that the o’rings must be replaced to ensure the cylinder does not leak. Loosen the nut and the spring washer and remove the piston.  Replace the cup seal (which must face upwards).  Ensure that the holes of the valve, cup seal and piston are aligned.  Replace nut and spring washer and fasten.  If the valves have fallen out ensure that they are replaced correctly.  Valve cap (only center hole) on top, Valve seat (center and 8 other holes) at the bottom and smooth sides facing each other.
